Where USDA 100% financing works in Kentucky

USDA eligibility depends on the property’s location, not just whether it looks rural. Homes inside some city limits and subdivisions qualify, depending on the area’s population. Most of Jefferson County (Louisville) and Fayette County (Lexington) are not eligible, but many nearby areas are. Check any address on the Kentucky USDA eligibility map and compare your household income to the 2026 income limits by county.

Credit events and waiting periods

  • A Chapter 7 bankruptcy must be discharged at least 3 years before you apply.
  • A foreclosure must be at least 3 years old.
  • With a 640+ score and an automated GUS approval, USDA usually doesn’t require rental history verification or credit explanation letters.
